Another popular question we get is, "Is a fire pit on your boat legal?". There are no laws for or against fire pits currently. What we can say is propane marine grills have been around for 75+ years, are safe and widely adopted. They are basically the same thing but instead of warming you up they are used to warm up your hot dogs and hamburgers. Unlike a marine grill though, the Floating Flame doesn't have to deal with out of control grease fires. (As you can tell we believe the Floating Flame is a much safer product).

Our owner Ben explains in the video below how he's been using his Floating Flame for 10 years now on Lake Michigan which is an international waterway that is patrolled by Coast Guard along with many other jurisdictions. It's been tested for many years on a very scrutinized waterway. 99% of people will be using their Flame on inland lakes so you won't have anything to worry about other than enjoying the warmth!
